The concept of businesses managing their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions is relatively new. The risks your company may face, the opportunities you may be presented with, and the extent to which you should manage carbon emissions is not always apparent. And the plethora of publications, government agencies, standards and protocols that focus on GHG emissions can be confusing and daunting.

Sometimes a company just needs help making sense of it all, which is why ClearCarbon offers a Discovery Workshop.

The purpose of the Discovery Workshop is to help a company or organization at any point in the carbon measurement, management and monetization process by assessing progress to date and recommending next steps. ClearCarbon has performed Discover Workshops for customers who are just beginning to learn about sustainability and have not measured their carbon emissions, to those with sophisticated carbon management programs who have achieved reductions and want to continue making progress.

The Discovery Workshop typically consists of one or two days of face-to-face meetings with managers and staff who are responsible for environmental initiatives. Before and during the meeting, ClearCarbon will gather information about what the customer knows and has accomplished toward GHG management. We will then use that information to discuss available carbon measurement, management and monetization options, and vetting the pros and cons of each option. Each workshop is tailored to the unique needs of each company and can be arranged in any number of formats, though we find that open, casual dialogue and lots of questions produce the best results.
