J. Renee Morin

Carbon Project Manager

Experience

Renee Morin is an environmental specialist with almost a decade of consulting experience both internationally and domestically. She has effectively managed numerous greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories and carbon management projects, often delivering under short timeframes. During her consulting career, Renee has managed projects with multi-million dollar budgets and as many as eight subcontractors at one time.

She has conducted corporate GHG inventories for various multi-national corporate clients in the financial, entertainment, manufacturing, and food and agriculture sectors, and prepared voluntary reporting on behalf of her clients to the Carbon Disclosure Project and Californian Climate Action Registry.

Renee also has significant expertise on product lifecycle assessments and manages the majority of supply chain work for ClearCarbon. She has completed product carbon footprint analyses for a newspaper publication, paper and paperboard entertainment packaging, milk, bottled water, jarred honey, and others.

Before joining ClearCarbon, Renee assisted the U.S. EPA’s Trade Association Environmental Management System Support for the Performance Track Assistance Program (PTAP) by reviewing and developing industry-specific Environmental Management System guidelines for multiple groups, including the American Chemistry Council, the American Shipbuilding Association, the Metal Finishing Industry, and the Steel Manufacturers Association. She is also an ISO 14001 provisional lead auditor.

Renee’s past and present clients include 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment, DP World, Dean Foods, and the World Bank, and she has worked closely with the governments of multiple West African countries and international NGOs on environmental assessment initiatives. Prior to consulting, Ms. Morin lived in Gabon, Africa for two years and has working knowledge of French.

B.A. in Chemistry, Wake Forest University (Winston-Salem, NC).

An interesting fact about Renee

Following college Renee was in the Peace Corps in Gabon, Africa teaching physical science in French. Since then she has traveled through most of West Africa assisting on projects from assessing the environmental impacts of alluvia diamond mines in Sierra Leone to the installation of a pipeline off the shores of Ghana.
