Expertise

Erin Lehner is an environmental specialist with more than five years of experience in environmental consulting for both corporate and institutional clients. Her work includes performing corporate greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories, product carbon analyses, and event carbon footprints, and developing carbon management and monetization strategies.

Erin has served as the lead data specialist on several GHG inventories and product carbon analyses.She has expertise in designing data collection surveys and templates, evaluating and verifying data, and calculating and estimating carbon emissions. She recently authored a white paper entitled “Sample-Based Estimation & Uncertainty Analysis in Corporate Greenhouse Gas Inventories” on conducting preliminary GHG inventories with measurable margins of error.

Erin joined ClearCarbon after three years with the American Council of Engineering Companies, where she worked on a variety of environmental and energy policy issues. She holds an undergraduate degree in environmental engineering from Tulane University and recently completed her Master’s Degree in Business Administration with a focus in Environmental Management & Policy at George Washington University.

Her recent clients include Wal-Mart, News Corporation, Darden Restaurants, and Technicolor Home Entertainment.

An interesting fact about Erin

As a toddler, Erin, the daughter of travelling folk & bluegrass musicians, was a guest vocalist on her parents’ second album. She enjoys spending her free time cooking, baking & pickling – especially with ingredients from her home garden.
